Greetings St David’s members and friends / contacts

Please find attached the Church Connections for today, Easter 3 – 14th April.

We were pleased to welcome back Papa Toko and his service was much appreciated.

I include his message in the Church Connections attached.

One of our hymns this week was Lord of all hopefulness, Lord of all joy. It covers the beginning of the day to the end of the night and, hopefully, helps people realise that God is supportive throughout the day regardless of what happens. This is particularly relevant with the events in Sydney in recent days – the Bondi Junction Shopping Centre and, tonight at the Church during a service. Our thoughts are with all those affected and those who responded.

April retiring offering

This month we are supporting UnitingWorld – the UCA Agency which coordinates our work overseas and with our overseas partner churches. They work in Asia, Africa and the Pacific Islands. They respond to emergencies but also help with programs to assist communities to be better prepared before disaster strikes. Offerings can be left in an envelope (clearly marked Retiring Offering) and returned via the Offering Plate. Alternatively donations can be direct to our bank account at Westpac Oakleigh. Details in the April Newsletter.

Annual General Meeting of the Congregation

Sunday 28th April following the service. The names of those nominated will be announced next week.

Next Edition

We may not have a Church Connections next weekend as Clayton will be supplying ministry for the service.
