URGENT - Pancake Day UPDATE

Back again!!

Power is still off at Clayton (church).  There are fallen branches over our front fence.

Apparently there is severe infrastructure damage in Clayton Road Shopping Centre due to falling trees.  It was reported on the traffic reports this morning that the road was closed and I haven’t heard that it is cleared.

The latest advice is that the power will not be restored before 1pm Thursday 15th February.

As a result, we have decided that we will cancel Pancake Day at this stage.  We will assess how, when and where we can reschedule the event – and in what format.  We will not be beaten!!!!

We have had the power restored at the Oakleigh Church but I have also seen photos of the fallen tree branches in front of the church. They obliterate the footpath.  On the other side however, we have had the power restored to the church.

We will circulate further information when we are able.

Please update people who may not be on email although we are trying to ring those we are aware of.
